I wanted to make something simple but powerful in honour of Nelson Mandela's centenary. I decided to experiment with cel animation to introduce different textures and opted to include hand-drawn typography to emphasise the animated journey. The type featured is Invictus by William Ernest Henley and was Mandela's favourite poem.
